Records, 1936-1980.

Records, 1936-1960, consisting of a statement of the traditions of the Unity Club, 1979; minutes of meetings, 1936-1960; and letters, schedules , and lists, 1937-1980. The minutes contain the names of those present, guests, the speaker, the topic, and the topic and speaker of the next meeting. In addition, there are some clippings on the activities of some of the members, particularly Gould Beech and Earl McGowin. There are also lists of the speeches given under the name of the presenter. Prominent members of the Club included Grover C. Hall, Marion Rushton, Jesse B. Hearin, C.B. Smith, W.W. Wilkerson, Clifford J. Durr, John L. Goodwyn, Judge Richard Emmet, Judge John C. Godbold, Truman Hobbs, Paul B. Jones, M.R. Nachman, Adolph Weil, Jr. and several others. The letters are primarily about membership and attendance at meetings, and there are lists of members and speech presenters.
